Born in Denmark, she came to Paris at 18. She met Coco Chanel and Pierre Cardin and started as a top model. She met Jean-Luc Godard about a cameo in À bout de souffle (1960), but she had to be naked and she refused to play in the movie. One year later, they got married and she became famous with the "Nouvelle vague" movies directed by him, Jacques Rivette or Agnès Varda.

One of the finest thrillers ever made, From the novel by Frederick Forsyth, Edward Fox is marvelous in the title role. Fred Zinneman masterfully creates tension throughout the film without resorting to special effects, stunts or pyrotechnics. Brilliant classic thriller!

"The Killer Elite" is an enjoyable '70's action/thriller, James Caan and Robert Duvall have great chemistry and the supporting cast is terrific: Arthur Hill, Gig Young, Mako, and Bo Hopkins. In Suison Bay, Sam Peckinpah filmed the last scene of The Killer Elite; I think is a very original idea. Film Editing by Monte Hellman.

A Melancholic Masterpiece About Code of Honor, Tradition and Love. Director Sydney Pollack shows a real reverence and respect for the traditions of another culture. It's the first Paul Schrader script ever to be filmed, written with his brother Leonard (who also worked with Paul on Blue Collar & Mishima) and Robert Towne (Chinatown, Marathon Man, Bonnie & Clyde). The early seventies was a last golden age for the eternally under-rated Mitchum, with outstanding performances in The Friends of Eddie Coyle, Farewell My Lovely and Ryan's Daughter, and this is one of his best.

It's based on the John MacDonald's novel and directed by Lee J Thompson, with a terrific musical score by the amazing Bernard Hermann. So acclaimed was Robert Mitchum's performance as the amoral, animalistic Max Cady it probably escapes most people's attention that Cape Fear was produced by co-star Gregory Peck. The supporting cast was excellent. Polly Bergen, Lori Martin, Martin Balsam, Telly Savallas, all in minor roles, but they add tremendously to the action.

Spectacular cult classic of the Moonshine Wars of the 50s, Thunder Road is the film that Robert Mitchum got to use all his many talents. Not only did he star in it, but he produced it and wrote the original story on which the film is based. And if that wasn't enough he wrote the songs for the film and made a hit record singing the title song. directed by Arthur Ripley
