There are two reasons why you might want to look for wholesale bridal gowns. You may want to obtain them for business purposes, or you may want to find a gown at wholesale price for your own use. First, let's talk about making money with wholesale dresses. Maybe you have your own clothing shop, or perhaps you have a website or want to sell via online auction. In any case, buying wholesale is the best way to make a profit on your merchandise. When most sellers buy wholesale, they buy in large quantities for the best savings.

The best time to buy wholesale bridal fashions is during the slow season. This is typically fall and winter. Spring and summer are the busiest times for weddings, so gowns will be in high demand at this time. Take advantage of year-end sales and get the best price you can on however many gowns you are interested in purchasing. Then, you simply separate the gowns and sell them one by one at your preferred retail price. The best time to do this is early spring on as this is when most brides-to-be are shopping.

Perhaps you want a discount priced bridal gown for your own wedding. In this case you definitely don't want to buy more than one gown. While you may not be able to get true wholesale prices, you can certainly find serious discounts at various places. Outlet stores, clearance sales, and even online are all great places to purchase affordable wedding gowns. Start shopping as early as you can and make sure you do some serious comparing. For example, you might find the same dress in stores and on Ebay for different prices. By saving money on the cost of your gown you will have more money to spend on other areas of your wedding, reception and honeymoon.

If you're seeking wholesale bridal gowns for business reasons, you will probably need a reseller's license. Most legitimate wholesalers require one before they will sell to you. Of course you will not need any kind of license if you are simply seeking an affordable gown for your own wedding. There are lots of amazingly affordable gowns out there that are beautiful and fashionable, if you know where to look. The search for the perfect dress is one that might require some time and effort, but is always worth every minute!
