Plus Size Bridal Gowns

Every bride is beautiful and glamorous on her big day. She seems to radiate happiness and she shines with love and warmth. For a long time the plus size bride had to work harder than average sized brides to find the dream dress. Bridal stores typically only had wedding gowns and samples in very small sizes. I remember going with my best friend to help her choose her wedding dress. I was super skinny and she was maybe a size eleven. None of the stores we visited could fit her. That was so embarrassing and heart breaking for her. I had to try on her wedding dress choices. Finally, she found her dress, the one she knew was the one. Instead of happily trying the dress on, you guessed it, I had to try it on. She had to order her dress in the hope that she would like it in her size. That was then; this is now. It's a whole new world. Plus Size wedding gowns are everywhere,

The market for plus size clothes has changed dramatically. Stores from Wal Mart to designer stores are showing clothes for all sizes, from petites to plus size. Shapely women simply need larger than average sizes. Every bridal store now has a plus size section. These bridal gowns are not the old tent looking dresses of the past. They are simply larger sizes of the average size gowns. They are strapless dresses with lace, pearls, embroidery, and trains. Some wedding dresses in plus sizes are also very fitted for the bride who wants to accent a small waist.

Mae West was once considered one of the most beautiful women in the world. Today she would probably be looking for a plus size bridal gown. She had the gorgeous and much sought after hour glass figure most women would die for. Many plus size women have exactly the same type figure. A bridal gown with a tight bust and waist and a little flare at the bottom of the dress makes the plus size bride look sexy and beautiful.

There are now stores that specialize in plus size wedding gowns and evening attire. Generally, the store workers are also plus sized and, therefore, know exactly what looks better on each figure type. The store's buyer may even be plus sized. Many bridal magazines feature plus size bridal gowns. Being able to see themselves in magazines helps the plus size bride decide what she does and doesn't like before she shops. This saves a lot of time and trouble. She may even find THE dress and the store where she can buy it.

Brides come in all shapes and sizes. The only constant is that all brides are beautiful on their wedding day. When they see themselves reflected in their groom's eyes, their fairy tale wedding becomes perfection.
